Obituary

Arthur H. Forsell, 88, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2013, with family at his side. He leaves his wife of 62 years, Betty (Pyche) Forsell; two daughters, Nancy M. Fickle and her husband David of North Carolina and Susan J. Scales and her husband Robert of West Boylston. He also leaves 4 grandchildren, Jennifer Hawkins of NC, Dean Stilke of VA, Matthew Scales of West Boylston, and Shelley Ingalls of Spencer as well as 9 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sister, Margaret Bowden.

Arthur was born in Worcester, son of the late Anna T. (Brolin) and Hugo C. Forsell. He was a graduate of Worcester Boys Trade School, Navy Veteran of WWII, and a machinist at Norton Company for 33 years. Arthur was a 32nd Degree AF&AM former Athelstan Lodge, now Guiding Light (50-year pin received last May) and member Scottish Rite Bodies. He enjoyed model-ship building.

Services will be held Sunday, March 10, 2013, at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street. A calling hour will be held from 2-3 pm followed by the memorial service at 3 pm. Burial in Rural Cemetery will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Briarwood Residents Assistance Fund, 65 Briarwood Circle, Worcester, MA 01606.
