Obituary

Anne V. (Johansson) Burke, 51, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 11, 2014, at Lowell Health Care Center, following an extended illness. She was born in Brooklyn, New York, daughter of Lillian (Nordenfelt) and Karl Johansson of the Åland Islands, and resided in Holden, Massachusetts. Anne leaves her two grown children - daughter, Elizabeth Burke of Boston, and son, William K. Burke of Holden. She worked as a Registered Nurse at Saint Vincent Hospital for many years prior to her illness. Anne loved her family and friends, visits to New York, the beach, and all types of music.

A Memorial Service will be held at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, Worcester on Friday, August 15, at 11 a.m. Burial of ashes will follow in Grove Cemetery, Holden. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to the Huntington's Disease Society of America (www.hdsa.org).
