Obituary

Boylston, MA/Hillsborough, NH: Anna M. (Sauer) Young, 86, passed away Monday, January 28, 2013 at Hillsboro House Nursing Home in New Hampshire. She leaves two sons, Robert J. Young and his wife Helen of Bradford, NH and Mark Young and his wife Patricia of Boylston; five grandchildren, Noel, Adam, Shelly, William, and Carrie; two brothers, Oswald "Ozzie" and David Sauer; four sisters, Jane Huggins, Gerry LeDoux, June Stark, and Nancy Lier; 4 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 47 years, John J. Young; a brother, Hans P. Sauer; and a sister, Josephine Young.

Anna was born in Worcester, daughter of Hans and Anna (Bowler) Sauer. She was a member and former deacon of First Congregational Church in Boylston, member of the Boylston Senior Citizens group and the Boylston Grange. She enjoyed needlework, knitting, and quilting. Anna was also an avid gardener.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 1, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in First Congregational Church, Boylston. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Boylston. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Congregational Church 10 Church St. Boylston, MA 01505.
