Obituary

Worcester: Angel L. Martinez, Sr. 63, affectionately known as "Koko", passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. He leaves his wife and best friend for over 50 years, Maria Cruz; a son David Martinez; a daughter Rosemary Martinez Lopez; 11 grandchildren Jackie, Adriana, Tatiana, David, Ciara, Jada, Jacob, Alex, Gabriel, Angel, Alianna, and many brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews, son in law Leo and daughter in law Teri. He was predeceased by a son Angel Martinez, Jr.
Angel was born in Puerto Rico son of the late Alejandro Martinez and Aracelia Pacheco. He emigrated to the United States when he was 14 years old and worked for over 30 years as a Supervisor at the St. Pierre Chain & Wire Rope Company. He was a member of St. Joan of Arc Church and enjoyed cars and spending time with his family.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, April 5, 2018 from 10-11:30 a.m. in Nordgren Funeral Home 300 Lincoln St. Worcester. A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at 12:00 noon at St. Joan of Arc Church 570 Lincoln St. Worcester. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery.
