Obituary

Americo E. DellaGrotta, II, 54, died at home surrounded by his family on Wednesday, April 23, 2014. Rico leaves his wife Connie (Cooper) DellaGrotta, a daughter, Angela DellaGrotta; two sons, Americo E. DellaGrotta, III and William DellaGrotta; a sister and brother-in-law, Karen and Robert St. Armand of Auburn; many nieces and nephews, and a sister-in-law Carol DiPanni. He was predeceased by a brother and sister-in-law Christy and Barbara DiPanni.

Rico was born in Providence, Rhode Island, son of the late Louise (Grieco) and Americo E. DellaGrotta. He was an Electrical Technician in the fiber optic industry. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He was also a Boy Scout leader, avid outdoorsman, camper, hiker, and sports fan. He was a member of First Assembly of God where he was a leader of the Royal Rangers. He loved life and lived out loud.

Calling hours will be held at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, from 6-8 pm on Tuesday, April 29. A Memorial Service will be held at First Assembly of God, 30 Tyler Prentice Road, Worcester at 11 am on Wednesday, April 30. To leave a message of condolence, please click link below.
