Obituary

Worcester, Almira A. (Hodgerney) Place,99, formerly of 16 Winslow Street, died April 6 at Autumn Village.

Her husband, John J. Place, died in 1951. She leaves a sister, Mina Leanna of Worcester, several grandchildren, nephews and nieces. She was born in Grafton, daughter of Arthur and Emma (Fenner) Hodgerney.

Mrs. Place volunteered for Volunteers of America for many years.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, April 10, at 11:00 AM in Nordgren Memorial Chapel (www.nordgrenmemorialchapel.com) 300 Lincoln St. Burial will be in Cookshire Cemetery in Sterling. A calling hour will be held April 10, from 10:00-11:00 am in the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the First Assembly of God Church, 30 Tyler Prentice Rd. Worcester Ma 01605.
