Alice C. Backa
Worcester—Alice C. (Perry) Backa, age 89, died Tuesday, February 17, 2009. Her husband of 49 years, Sulo A. Backa, died in 2000. She leaves a son, Bruce R. Backa of Incline Village, NV. She was born in Fall River, daughter of Fabiola (Gendron) and Louis M. Perry, Jr.

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, in Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. A calling hour is noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Modest Needs Foundation, "Alice Backa Memorial Fund," 115 East 30th Street, Ground Floor, New York, NY 10016.
