Obituary

Worcester--Alice M. (Gulanian) Papazian, 81, died Friday, April 16th, in Umass Memorial Hospital, Lake Ave.Her husband of 42 years, Richard Papazian died in 1994. She leaves her son, David S. Papazian and her daughter, Nancy M. Papazian both of Worcester, her sister, Rose Gulanian, her granddaughter, Andrea M. Giannino, and two nephews.

She was born in Worcester, daughter of Setrag and Mary (Farsakian) Gulanian. She graduated from Commerce High School and then went on to study art at the Worcester Art Museum. She worked at Bay State Hardware for 35 years.She was a member of The Armenian Church of Our Saviour, the Women's Guild, Avaks, and The Armenian Church Of The Martyrs Friendly Circle.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 20th, from Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St, with a service at 11:00 a.m. in The Armenian Church of Our Saviour, 87 Salisbury St. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours will be held from 5-8 p.m., Monday, April 19th in the funeral home, with a Dangark service at 7 p.m. A Memorial Week will be observed at the home of Rose Gulanian. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Armenian Church of Our Saviour, 87 Salisbury St., Worcester, Ma. 01609.
