West Boylston—Alexander J. Tautkas, 89, died Monday, March 8, 2004, at home. He leaves his wife of 63 years, Ann E. (Simisky) Tautkas; a son, Alexander P. Tautkas of S. Grafton; a daughter, Carol Bryngelson of West Boylston; a brother, Charles S. Tautkas of Manchester, N.H.; a sister, Emily Gasper of Millis; 4 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.

He was born in Worcester, son of Constantine and Benedicta (Guzauskas) Tautkas. He graduated from Commerce High and was a salesman for the former Ware Pratt Co. and Mark Inc. for 50 years.

The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, March 11, in Our Lady of Good Counsel, 111 Worcester St., West Boylston, with a Calling Period starting at 9 a.m. in Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St., Worcester. Burial will be in Mt. Vernon Cemetery, West Boylston later in the spring. Please omit flowers. Donations may be made to UMass Memorial Hospice, 650 Lincoln St., Worcester MA 01605 or to a charity of the donor's choice.
