Obituary

Sutton—Alan Charles Englund, 46, died Wednesday, March 28, 2007. He leaves his wife of 6 years, Maureen A. (Smith) Englund; his parents, Warren C. and Elaine M. (Ekstrom) Englund of Shrewsbury; his sister and brother-in-law, Terri and Doug Beckerman of Holliston; his step-daughter, Rachel M. Griggs of Sutton; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces & nephews. He was born in Worcester and graduated from Shrewsbury High School in 1978. He received his B.S. Degree in Industrial Technology from Fitchburg State College. Alan served in the Army National Guard, was a technician for Norton Company, and most recently was self-employed. He enjoyed working around the house and yard.

Funeral services will be held at Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church, 34 Prospect St., Shrewsbury on Wednesday, April 4, at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury. Calling hours will be held at NORDGREN MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 300 Lincoln Street, Worcester on Tuesday, April 3, from 5-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Calumet Lutheran Camp, P.O.
