Obituary

Hoffman, NC - Adrienne J. (Scott)Leonard Young, died on Friday, April 23, 2010 at her home after a short and courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Matthew J. and Barbara E. (Coleman) Scott. She leaves her husband of 20 years, James L. Leonard of Hoffman, NC., her former husband William H. Young of Myrtle Beach, SC; her children, Joseph K. Leonard of Worcester, Justina M. (Leonard) Forsman of Prescott, AZ, Cory J. Leonard of Concord, and Michael J. Leonard of Worcester; a stepson, William H. Young Jr., six grandchildren, Jessica, Kristen, Ashely, Kyle, Taylor, and MacKenzie; and three great-grandchildren, Scott, Brian, and Marissa; two sisters, Geraldine B. Weeks of Worcester and Pamela E. Allembert of Hinsdale, NH.

She worked for The Fair in West Boylston and Digital Equipment Corporation at many different locations. She was also a Past Worthy Matron of Clement Chapter and Temple Chapter Order of the Eastern Star. She was an avid reader, loved cooking (especially cookies), planting flowers and camping.

Calling hours will be at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, Friday, April 30, from 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, May 1, at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Richmond County Hospice, 1119 US Hwy 1, Rockingham, NC 28379.
